Since its creation in 2001, the study group has focused on the condition of Muslims in Europe and in the United States by inviting experts and scholars from Europe and the United States to address the following topics: legal and political integration of Islam in Europe and in the United States, the political and social consequences of 9/11 on European and American Muslims, the development of transnational Muslim networks and their influence in the West.
