The Steering Committee, headed by the Director, is composed of “core” faculty who have been, or continue to be, active in the running of the Center and in teaching on the Middle East in their departments. The committee’s functions are to offer advice to the director on matters pertaining to the Center, to vote on key Center policy issues, and to serve as a conduit for information on Middle Eastern studies at Harvard and beyond the university.
