The Outreach Center supports teaching about topics related to the Middle East region and Islam both in schools and among the general public. Three of the main ways we do so are through the following programs:
Educators can build on their knowledge of the Middle East region and Islam while gaining PDPs and graduate credits, by attending our summer institutes, professional development workshops during the school year, on-going lecture series and/or film screenings.
Bring the Middle East region and Islam to your classroom or meeting. We can provide speakers for public lectures, classroom
and assembly talks, book groups, film discussions, local community
group meetings and public library or religious group events.
We can customize programs on the Middle East region and Islam for groups big and small. Contact cmesoc@fas.harvard.edu for more information.
