“They (the students) had a great time. Some of them even brought the alphabet to class today and were practicing…. I love being able to add extra things like what you did to their knowledge…. This will be a feature of my course next year.” --Jim Carter, teacher at the Fenn School, after a recent class workshop on the Arabic language

The Outreach Center regularly provides Harvard students and affiliates from the Middle East region to speak in area schools and libraries.
To arrange a speaker please email cmesoc@fas.harvard.edu or call 617-495-4078 and let us know the topic in which you are interested, the venue and a tentative date and time. We will work to find a suitable speaker for your event and will be in touch with more information about them so that you can decide if you would like to book them. For public lectures we usually ask sponsors to consider a $300 honorarium for the speaker, although if this is a problem please let us know and we can work something out. For in-class presentations at schools there is no charge.
