Fall Lecture Series Planned on Muslim Societies

Dakar Street sceneThe Outreach Center, in collaboration with Primary Source , is presenting a late afternoon lecture series this fall entitled Contested Faiths: Islam and Muslims in the Contemporary World.

Islam is truly a religion of the world, and this afternoon lecture series explores continuities as well as variations in how it is lived and practiced around the globe. The course will feature speakers for each region, as well as teaching applications. Lectures will be held at Primary Source (101 Walnut Street, Watertown) from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. If you are interested in attending the lectures, register with Primary Source . Registration is due by September 25, 2006. 12.5 PDPs will be awarded to educators who attend all five programs.
