"Three Tales of Horror: The Demons and Inner Hatreds of Early Turkish Nationalism"

Halil Berktay is Associate Professor of History at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey. He has also served as Program Coordinator for both History and Turkish Studies and is currently Visiting Scholar at the Center for Middle East Studies at Harvard. He is a member of the editorial advisory boards of the Journal of Peasant Studies and the Journal of Southeast European and Black Sea Studies. He is also a member and vice-chairperson of the History Education Committee of the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe, as well as a member of the advisory board of Pasts, Inc. Center for Historical Studies at CEU (Budapest).
