Come join the Harvard Middle Eastern Cultural Association and the
Harvard community in appreciating and enjoying Arabic poetry at the Dudley House Fireside Room (Lehman Hall). HMECA is hosting a poetry reading with the theme of modern Iraqi poetry. Khaled Al-Masri and Carl Sharif El-Tobgui, Preceptors in Arabic at Harvard, and Fares Alsuwaidi, a PhD candidate in comparative literature, will recite several pieces in Arabic
followed by English translations. This is a casual event open to the entire
community. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
