Human Rights in the Mediterranean: North Africa and France

Please join the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School for "Human Rights in the Mediterranean: North Africa and France," a panel discussion featuring: Dr. Fatima Sadiqi, Visiting Professor of Women's Studies and Islamic Religious Studies at Harvard Divinity School: "Women, Human Rights and Muslim Law in Morocco"; Neil Hicks, Director of the Human Rights Defenders Program at Human Rights First: "Promoting Human Rights in North Africa from the United States"; Elaine Thomas, Associate Professor of Political Studies at Bard College: "European Human Rights Law and France's Response to Muslim Head Scarves" The panel will be moderated by Anthony Chase, a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Law School Human Rights Program and Professor of Diplomacy and World Affairs at Occidental College. The panel will be held in Pound Hall 332. A reception will follow.
