Co-sponsored by GSC Samer Khanachet is President of United Gulf Management, Inc. the U.S. arm of KIPCO, a Kuwaiti holding company with strategic Middle East wide stakes in the financial services, media/telecom, healthcare and energy sectors. UGM identifies know-how, technology and other strategic U.S. resources to support group companies.  It has also advised on over a half billion dollars in U.S. real estate and private equity investments.  Previously, Mr. Khanachet worked in Kuwait and the U.K., focusing on investment between Kuwait and the West.
Mr. Khanachet was raised in Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East. He holds BSC degrees in chemical engineering and management from MIT and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. His two areas of personal interest are education and the Middle East:  He is a member of the Educational Council and of the Corporation Development Committee of MIT, of the Advisory Board of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard, and a trustee of the American University of Kuwait and of The Forsyth Health Foundation. He is a member of the Board of the Arab Bankers Association of North America, of the Middle East Institute Advisory Board and a past director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.
