The Outreach Center is proud to partner with The American Social History Project (ASHP) and educator-leaders from Flint, Michigan in a two-day workshop on sources and resources for teaching about communities from the Middle East region. The two day workshop (22 - 23 October) is part of a larger week-long Boston Mid-Year Conference 2009, organized in part by the Mott Middle College High School, Flint, Michigan. The workshop portion at Harvard is focused on considering approaches to and understandings of communities in Michigan related to the Middle East region and how to integrate teaching about them in curriculum resources. The program follows a SHEDM design (Social History, the Environment, and Decision Making). Workshop participation is by invitation only.
