SUMMARY:Polling Muslims in America\: Major Findings and Key Challenges
DESCRIPTION:<p>The CMES Director's Series and the Islam in the West Program present a panel discussion with IITW Program Director Jocelyne Cesari and members of the Pew Research Center and Gallup. The panel will discuss quantitative approaches to Muslims in the US and abroad. </p>
 <p><strong>Panelists</strong></p>
 <p>Dr. Gregory Smith is a Research Fellow at the Pew Forum on Religion &amp\; Public Life\, where he contributes to the Forum's survey research efforts. Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Government from the University of Virginia. His work about the relationship between politics and religion has appeared in the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion and has been presented at national and regional conferences.</p>
 <p>Also leading the panel is Zsolt Nyiri\, Ph.D.\, the Research Director for Europe for the Gallup World Poll. Dr. Nyiri has developed innovative methodology to poll hard-to-reach populations in Europe\, including Muslims\, for the Gallup World Poll. Other recent projects include Gallup's Balkan Monitor and several Flash Eurobarometer surveys conducted for the European Commission.</p>
