Gracye Cheng, Editor
Gracye Cheng is a junior at Harvard University concentrating in history and literature, where she focuses on the regions of North and Latin America and sociology. At Harvard, her favorite activities have been writing and editing for the Harvard Crimson; planning and co-directing HSYLC, an annual summer leadership conference for about 300 Chinese high school students in Shanghai; and doing research at Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Center for Research on Culture, Development and Education, where she works with data on low-income immigrant communities.

Tamara Jafar, Reporter
Tamara Jafar is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is currently a senior at Harvard University writing her undergraduate honors thesis on the origins of polarized sectarian identity and conflict in post-2003 Iraq.  

Tamara is the founder of Rally for Iraq, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to Iraqi students seeking to pursue higher-level education in the U.S. In 2008, she conducted interviews and research on the conditions of Iraqi refugees while interning at the UNHCR Branch Office in Amman, Jordan. Prior to that, she worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C.
