It's important to note that CMES does not have seminar space available at 38 Kirkland. However, as full members of the CGIS complex, we do have access to all CGIS rooms, as well as FAS classrooms.
To determine the appropriate space for your event consider the size and time of your event, your technological needs, and whether your budget allows you the option of renting space. Most lectures and seminars can be arranged through CGIS or FAS classrooms (see box to the right for scheduling) for no cost.
Other options include the Barker Center, the Kennedy School, and the School of Education, though without a cosponsor within these departments/schools, there is often a fee associated. Additionally, the Faculty Club offers very nice space for a fee.
Prior to completing a reservation request through FAS Classrooms, please note:
- The Registrar has scheduling authority over most public teaching spaces from 9am through 10pm Monday through Friday, with a few exceptions. During term-time, demand for classrooms and meeting space is high. Avoid disappointment by reserving a room for your event as soon as possible.
- Any cancellation must be reported no later than 2 business days prior to the event.
